I've seen someone do this in person. HE didn;t even care if they hit the window or not. It was actually a bit more like the girl Jagvar posted with the running start. This guy was about 6' and built like a football player. At least he was doing it to his own Yukon. Clearly no brain to damage.

Car windows are insanely freaking tough. Back when I worked for a junkyard I once tried to break one lying on the ground by jumping up and down on it while wearing work boots (I'm 220lbs). It didn't break. Thrown many objects at them too and surprisingly didn't break them.

Sharpness though, that'll do it. A ceramic chip from a spark plug will completely shatter a car window while a baseball bat will bounce right off it. An errant slip of the screwdriver while prying on window trim will do it too... whoops.
